Thomas Cherian is an Australian Legal Practitioner. Before being admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria, he was a practising lawyer at MP High Court, India. He has specialist expertise in all areas of migration law, apart from his enormous knowledge in various administrative areas as a result of his prolonged professional career for more than thirty five years. A person with passion for gaining proficiency in diverse areas of law, he has acquired specialization in Australian Immigration Law and Practice from Victoria University, Melbourne. He is a Member of the Law Institute of Victoria. Thomas Cherian is an RMA (MARN 0743115) registered with the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA) of Australia, and is a Member of the Migration Institute of Australia (MIA) and Migration Alliance (MA).
A multifaceted personality, Thomas Cherian is associated with various social, charitable and voluntary organizations. He is a Life Member of YMCA, and a Member of Vision Australia. He is also associated with the activities of World Vision. Being an active Member of Amnesty International Australia, he speaks out for human rights and other relevant issues, and provides honorary advice to disadvantaged applicants for refugee and humanitarian visas.
